Netflix secures rights to air 2030 World Cup in Spain, Andorra
The streamer will carry every match and add free daily games in Spain as it expands its live sports push with FIFA.
- Netflix secured exclusive streaming rights for the FIFA World Cup 2030 in Spain and Andorra on Tuesday, marking a significant expansion of its live sports ambitions.
- With Spain serving as one of the competition's three host nations alongside Morocco and Portugal, Netflix will feature full live coverage of the tournament.
- As part of the deal, Netflix will make one match a day available for free in Spain, with a package including every Spain match, both semi-finals, and the final airing on free-to-air television.
- The agreement builds on Netflix's portfolio of live events, including FIFA Women and FIFA World Cup 2027 and 2031, NFL, MLB, and WWE, replacing RTVE's broadcast of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
- FIFA secretary general Mattias Grafström said the partnership aims to "bring fans closer to the game," while Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria noted World Cup stories "become part of a nation.
