One man was arrested in a major international operation by Icelandic police against human trafficking in Iceland. The man who was arrested was charged with purchasing prostitution. He was arrested at the scene when police were monitoring the premises.

The police believe they have found 36 who were considered potential victims of human trafficking in extensive multinational operations last month. A total of thirty homes or houses in Iceland were entered and about 250 people were checked. This is according to a police announcement.
