Almost 10,000 homeless in Brussels, study finds
The number of homeless people in Brussels has grown by a quarter in just two years, according to the results of a new census published by regional body Bruss'Help. Brussels has almost 10,000 homeless people, according to the estimates based on a count carried out by 400 volunteers in public spaces...
This emerged from the count carried out in November by teams from Brus'help, the regional emergency relief agency. Today, in the Belgian capital, 9,777 people do not have a roof or are housed in poor conditions (that is, they live in shelters, squats or acquaintances). It is 25% more than in 2022.
