- States and territories must submit proposed items by March 15, with artifacts due in May, and a replica will go on display April 1, 2026, at the White House Visitor Center and Liberty Bell Center in Philadelphia.
- Once buried, the National Park Service will assume ownership and preserve the capsule engineered by NIST and the Library of Congress to endure 250 years for future generations.
