The National Council approved the draft electronic health record (EDS) to replace the current electronic patient record (EDP), but MPs made a number of changes to the text, including data protection and publication of the software source code.
The Federal Council wants to revise and rename the electronic patient dossier. The National Council accepted the relevant legislative proposal with a few changes. Thus, it wants to anchor the open source principle for software in the law.
