National Adoption Day: Local village supports new Myrtle Beach family

The saying goes: “It takes a village to raise a child.” And that was never more obvious than Monday at the Horry County Government and Justice Building when the village showed up to watch two youngsters begin a new life with a new name. Two smiling kids known to the members of Legacy Church as C.J. and J.J. held signs that read, “For 1,119 days, God was writing a chapter in my life called foster care. Today, he wrote adopted, November 24, 2025.”
