The rain of the past weeks has left its mark on the fields in Schleswig-Holstein: the grain looks rampant in many places and is therefore harder to harvest. Also the quality could suffer.
With moderate temperatures and sufficient humidity, the year began well for farmers: in Schleswig-Holstein, however, because of the summer with much too much rain, the grain is too wet to harvest and sometimes already begins to germinate in the fields.
