NASA’s Orion capsule orbits moon
NASA’s Orion capsule is now circling the moon in an orbit stretching tens of thousands of miles. As of Friday, the capsule was 238,000 miles from Earth and is expected to reach a maximum distance of almost 270,000 miles in a few days. That will set a new distance record for a capsule designed to carry people one day.

Ten days after the rocket was launched as part of NASA's new Artemis lunar program, the Orion space capsule has entered Moon's orbit, the US space agency said on Friday. Orion is expected to break Nasa's record of distance to astronauts-destined spacecraft from Earth.
