NASA's Curiosity Rover, which has been on Mars for over a decade, recently captured and recorded a full day on the Red Planet for the first time.
The time-lapse videos released by NASA show the tranquil Martian day from dawn to dusk. The videos reveal how Curiosity's shadow moves over the rocky terrain during 12 hours of sunlight.
The images were captured using the rover's hazard-avoidance cameras, usually used to navigate dangerous terrain. Curiosity has been exploring the Gale Crater on Mars since 2012, analyzing soil composition and capturing pictures.
