- A police helicopter tracked the suspect vehicle to an end road in the Extension area, where the two occupants fled the vehicle on foot.
- Police dog services tracked the fleeing individuals, taking them into custody; One individual was later taken to hospital for minor injuries from a dog bite.
- Brien confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen from Nanaimo shortly after, and the investigation into the seized drugs remains ongoing.
