NABU notifies four suspects in Ukrnafta theft scheme of suspicion over UAH 3 bln pre-nationalization losses
KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine, Energoreforma) – The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) have notified four suspects of suspicion in a scheme to steal petroleum products from Ukrnafta, carried out before the company's nationalization in 2022.
NABU and SAP reported a large scheme whereby 100,000 tons of petroleum products worth more than 2.88 billion hryvnias could be illegally withdrawn from Ukrnafta.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office opened a large-scale scheme for the theft of 100 thousand tons of Ukrnafta oil products and the withdrawal of money from their sales. Anti-corruption bodies do not name the names of those who are familiar, however, according to the people's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, among them may be businessman Mikhail Kiperman.
In Ukraine, they exposed a scheme in which in 2017-2020, according to the investigation, the participants of the organized group seized more than 100 thousand.
