Two short videos, shot at the heart of the tensions in Rillieux-la-Pape, document part of the scene where a young man is bitten by a dog of the municipal police, without allowing to decide between the versions that clash.
A young man from Rillieux-la-Pape was seriously wounded by a police dog on 21 March during an altercation between a group of young people and the police. Since then, the commune has been the scene of clashes every night. An investigation was opened after the young man's complaint.

On the night of Saturday 21 to Sunday 22 March, a young man from Rillieux-la-Pape was attacked and bitten on the neck by a police dog. The facts would have passed on Avenue Général-Leclerc in the Velette district. According to the newly re-elected right-wing mayor Alexandre Vincendet, the facts would have taken place while some young people were opposing the arrest of a person by the police for contempt (the summum of arbitrary offences).
