Museum to open May 1

The Sleepy Eye Museum will open for the season on Friday, May 1 at noon. The museum is located at 100 Oak Street West in the restored 1902 passenger railroad depot. Museum exhibits include information about Chief Sleepy Eye, artifacts of Native American culture, the early pioneers, and the businesses and organizations that grew with the town. The depot’s perfectly preserved telegraph office is a favorite of many visitors.
