The Free State of Bavaria is purchasing 90 new trains, which are scheduled to be delivered gradually from 2028. The ET 1420 series vehicles can carry up to 1,820 passengers. A model will be on display at Königsplatz during the IAA – although not at its full length of 202 meters.
