JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Kamesha Mumford is the unofficial winner of the special election for the Senate District 26 seat. Mumford defeated Letitia Johnson during the December 2, 2025, runoff election. Mumford will fill the seat that was left vacant when John Horhn was elected mayor of Jackson.
