Multiple injuries reported after car crashes into London shopping centre
Paramedics said five people were in serious condition and two had minor injuries after the single-vehicle crash.
On Friday, June 12, 2026, a vehicle crashed through a brick wall into the GoodLife Fitness at Sherwood Forest Mall in London, Ont., sending seven people to the hospital.
Witnesses reported the vehicle raced across the parking lot from about 50 metres away before slamming into the building, where a fitness class with about 30 people was just getting underway.
Paramedics confirmed five people were in serious condition and two had minor injuries, while the driver remained at the scene near Gainsborough Road and Wonderland Road.
The London Health Sciences Centre activated a Level 1 Code Orange just before 11 a.m. to manage the influx of patients, warning the public to expect longer emergency department wait times.
London's police chief is scheduled to address the media Friday afternoon regarding the mass-casualty investigation into the collision, which occurred in the city's northwest near the mall.
