MRA touts improved tax compliance
The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) says the Kalondola Tax Stamps system has improved tax compliance and boosted government revenue two years after its introduction. MRA Head of Corporate Affairs Wilma Chalulu said the system has led to significant growth in excise tax collections, with some manufacturers recording increases of up to 200 percent.
