Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on Sunday that Russian air defense forces shot down another drone heading towards Moscow. This brings the total number of drones downed since Sunday morning to four. Sobyanin told the MAKS news agency that "air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense intercepted an attack by a drone heading towards Moscow," according to the TASS news agency. He added that "emergency teams are working at the crash site."
The governor of the region of Moscow announced that an important power plant had been hit Sunday by an attack with Ukrainian drones.
Ukraine carried out a drone attack on a thermal power plant in the Moscow region. A fire broke out at the site. Russian authorities claim that some of the drones were shot down, but others fell on the facility's premises.
