Morrisons recalls pasta dish due to 'do not eat it' warning
Morrisons is recalling 230g packs of Morrisons Coronation Chicken Pasta due to undeclared milk, affecting consumers with allergies. The affected batch, GBB 584 031, carries a use-by date of June 30, 2026.
Because some packs contained Florida Salad with undeclared milk, the product poses a health risk for anyone with a milk allergy or intolerance to milk constituents. This labeling error triggered the immediate recall.
Customers are urged to return affected items to the nearest Morrisons store for a full refund or contact Morrisons Customer Services on 03456116111. The Food Standards Agency issued a "Food Alert for Action" warning consumers not to eat the product.
A Morrisons spokesman apologized for the inconvenience and affirmed the company's commitment to product quality and safety. The Food Standards Agency confirmed no other Morrisons products are affected by this specific issue.
This safety alert follows a separate recall announced Tuesday by the Food Standards Agency regarding Salmonella contamination in fruit products sold at ASDA, Tesco, and Waitrose. The alerts underscore heightened food safety scrutiny across UK supermarkets.
