Seven people have died after consuming adulterated alcohol in Meknes, central Morocco, Moroccan news agency MAP reported on Tuesday, adding that police have arrested two suspects.

A trader and his apprentice were arrested in Meknès on suspicion of possessing and selling toxic alcoholic products.

The alcohol was allegedly purchased from a grocery store in Meknès, in central Morocco. Two suspects, the trader and his apprentice, were arrested.

According to the Moroccan police, two men were arrested who were suspected of having sold these adulterated alcoholic products to the victims.
