The discount chain Mäc-Geiz is in bankruptcy. Around 50 of the nationwide 183 branches are to close – possibly also in Berlin.
Mäc Geiz is facing a major upheaval. In the course of the insolvency proceedings, around 50 branches are expected to be closed – several employees have already lost their jobs.
A well-known household discounter is shrinking significantly. Around one in three branches could close, more than 1000 employees are affected.
The staff of the insolvent household discoter was served the next Job's message on Monday.
In May, Mäc Geiz makes an application for insolvency, since then more than 60 employees have to leave. Now it becomes clear: more than a quarter of all transactions are expected to close.
The budget discounter Mäc Geiz is fighting for survival. In the course of the insolvency, the closure of about 50 of its 183 branches is now imminent.
