More than 311,000 students have experienced gun violence at school since Columbine

More than 300,000 school children have been witness to gun violence in US schools since the infamous Columbine massacre of 1999. Last year there were 42 school shooting incidents, more than in any year since 1999. This year alone there have been 24 acts of gun violence on K-12 campuses during the school day. Black children have experienced school shooting at 33 percent more than twice the rate of white children.
