Addis Abeba- The Ministry of Health and the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) on Sunday confirmed that a case of Mpox has been detected in Moyale town, Oromia region, involving a 27-day-old infant.

In Sierra Leone, mpox continues to be a worrying development, with more than 3,000 people infected since the beginning of the year with the viral disease also known as monkey smallpox, and 14 of them have succumbed to it. Sierra Leone is still in a state of health emergency, while the virus is hitting the country as a whole.
