CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Monsters’ season came to an end Tuesday night in the second round of the AHL Calder Cup North Division playoffs with a 4-1 road defeat to the Laval Rocket in Laval, Canada. Surrendering three first-period goals, the Monsters once again struggled with penalties, which the Rocket made the most of. The Monsters committed four first-period penalties, which led to two of the Rocket’s three goals on the power play.
