Minnesota United Brings Draw Streak Into Matchup with Atlanta United
Jordan Brown returned from an ACL injury and Georgia limited Minnesota to one goal after Sage Glover scored on a first-half penalty.
On Sunday, Georgia drew Minnesota 1-1, ending its season-opening road trip behind graduate goalkeeper Jordan Brown's seven saves in her first collegiate appearance since November 2024.
Following a 0-0 result against Illinois on Aug. 13, the Bulldogs finished their season-opening road trip with two draws, extending an early-season stretch without a victory.
Fifth-Year midfielder Sage Glover gave Georgia the lead with a penalty kick right before halftime, snapping a three-game goalless drought before Davy Mokelke scored the 62nd-minute equalizer.
Mokelke's goal came after shaking defender Assa Kante, who was subbed off immediately after the play; Brown faced an onslaught of shot attempts in the second half, conceding only once.
With an 0-0-2 record, Georgia enters its home opener Thursday against James Madison at Sanford Stadium, aiming to set an all-time NCAA soccer attendance record while honoring the 1996 Summer Olympics.
