Mohave County moves to rein in data centers with new zoning rules

Any company that wants to build a data center in Mohave County will now face public hearings and added scrutiny over water and power use before getting approval.

By AZ BEX The Mohave County Board of Supervisors has approved changes to County zoning ordinances and will now require proposed data centers to provide their own electricity and water. In July, the County joined other jurisdictions around the state seeking to restrict data center development.
