The Malmö moderates believe that the municipal government has failed to remedy the city's rat problem. In their budget, they spend $10 million on, for example, more cleaning efforts to get rid of food scraps that the rodents eat. “This is what they have failed to do and there we see that the rats are taking over the city,” says Helena Nanne (M), opposition councillor in Malmö city.
