Big Brew: Texas Rangers and Bud Set a World Record with a 12-Foot Tall, 600-Gallon Beer
The pour topped a 550-gallon mark set in 2014, and Guinness certified the record before the Rangers’ game against Detroit.
On Saturday, July 4, 2026, the Texas Rangers partnered with Anheuser-Busch to set a Guinness World Record, filling a 12-foot tall, 600-gallon glass beer stein in Arlington, Texas, before their game against the Detroit Tigers.
The event at Globe Life Field occurred in conjunction with America's 250th anniversary celebrations, as the 600-gallon pour surpassed the previous 2014 record of 550 gallons set by Stod Fold Brewing Company in Halifax, United Kingdom.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Thomas Bradford and Eric Johnson certified the record after nearly two hours of pouring 600 gallons of Budweiser into the massive stein.
Anheuser-Busch challenged the Rangers to create an idea for their 150th anniversary; Jim Cochrane, Chief Business Officer, said the company responded, "We love that, we want to do it."
Following the record-setting pour, $1.50 Budweiser beers were sold to fans, honoring the brewery's 150th anniversary alongside America's 250th birthday festivities.
