Blue Jays Lead MLB with 6 Finalists for 2025 Gold Glove Awards

The 2025 Gold Glove finalists were revealed Oct. 15, 2025 by Rawlings, which said winners will be unveiled during a one-hour ESPN special on Nov. 2, 2025 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
To select winners, each team's manager and up to six coaches vote, with Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. incorporating the SABR Defensive Index at approximately 25 percent of the selection.
The Toronto Blue Jays led the AL with six finalists, and the Chicago Cubs matched that total in the NL, with ten former winners including Andrés Giménez, Carlos Santana and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Fans can vote online for the Rawlings Platinum Glove Award beginning Sunday, Nov. 2 at 9:30 p.m. ET through Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 11:59 p.m. ET, with winners unveiled at the Nov. 7 ceremony in New York City.
Advanced defensive metrics diverge on top contenders: Defensive Runs Saved shows Nico Hoerner leading with 17, Xavier Edwards at 12 and Brice Turang at 7, while Turang has more errors this year than Hoerner; Statcast Outs Above Average ranks Hoerner at 14 and Edwards at 9.
