Mitropolia Basarabiei a marcat, pe 30 iulie, 24 de ani de la recunoașterea sa oficială de către autoritățile Republicii Moldova. La sediul mitropolitan din Chișinău a fost organizată o slujbă de mulțumire și de laudă adusă lui Dumnezeu. Aceasta a fost oficiată de Înaltpreasfințitul Părinte Mitropolit Antonie, alături de un sobor de preoți și diaconi.
The Mitropolis of Basarabia marks 24 years after its official recognition by the authorities of Chisinau, a historic victory for national faith and identity. Clericals, historians and dozens of believers gathered to celebrate and honour those who contributed, from the struggle for official recognition to the development of a network of hundreds of parishes and numerous social and charitable projects.
