An overhaul of Welsh language education cleared the penultimate hurdle in the Senedd, with new school categories and legal requirements on the horizon.

Cymdeithas yr Iaith says that the Senedd has "missed an opportunity", after they rejected a number of amendments to the Education and Welsh Language Bill that would have ensured Welsh language education for everyone. Cefin Campbell presented a number of improvements on the third stage of the process, including a target for how many children will receive a Welsh medium education by 2050.
