Minnesota state trooper who went viral for saving baby deer drowns in South Dakota lake

Mollie McClure went missing early Sunday evening after jumping off a boat to swim in Waubay Lake in the town of Webster, just west of the South Dakota-Minnesota border.

ST. CLOUD — The funeral service for Minnesota State Patrol Trooper Mollie McClure will be Tuesday, July 8, in Jackson, Minnesota. McClure, 33, of St. Joseph, died by drowning on Sunday, June 29, on Waubay Lake in South Dakota.
