During this week, the Ministry of the Interior called on users of armoured vehicles to maintain beacons, lighting devices or distinctive devices reserved for State institutions to remove them immediately, in strict compliance with the current legal regulations.
Ministry urges owners to remove these implements if they have installed them.
The provision is based on article 83, paragraph 29, of the Organic Law on Surveillance and Private Security.
The Ministry of the Interior recalled that installing or using State-exclusive beacons, lights or badges on private cars constitutes an administrative offence punishable by a fine of six basic wages and possible criminal responsibilities.
