Because of the "distortion of competition through subsidies", the EU administration has thwarted the ambitious plans of the Minister for Economic Affairs Reiche to expand the gas power plant.
The Minister of Economic Affairs wants to promote with billions of new gas power plants. On the other hand, a German energy company is now complaining in Brussels.
According to a media report, the EU is paying the Minister for Economic Affairs a bill to build new gas power plants with a total capacity of 20 gigawatts. In the end, it could amount to the last capacity planned under Habeck.
Katherina Reiche wanted at least 20 gigawatts of gas power plants to be built. However, according to SPIEGEL information, the plan threatens to fail due to the EU Commission's resistance.
