The Central Unitary Workers' Union (CUT) proposes raising the minimum wage to $630,000 by the end of Gabriel Boric's government. This would be a 26% increase compared to the current $500,000. The government's promise to increase the minimum wage was fulfilled in a gradual manner in April 2023, raising it from $400,000 to $440,000 on May 1, 2023, then to $460,000 on September 1, 2023, and now reaching $500,000 in July 2024.
