The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) declared in an emergency the hydrocarbon activities linked to the supply of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the regions of Arequipa, Cusco, Puno, Moquegua and Tacna. The measure is executed due to the risk of supply interruption due to the blockade in the South Pan American after the Huaicos.
The Minem declared the supply of LPG in five regions of the south of the country in emergency due to the effects on the access routes. The measure will have a validity of up to 30 days and will allow to implement transitional actions to maintain the supply.
The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) declared in an emergency the hydrocarbon activities linked to the supply of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the regions of Cusco, Puno, Arequipa, Moquegua and Tacna. The measure, established by Ministerial Resolution No. 360-2026-MINEM/DM, will have a validity of up to 30 calendar days, counted from the day following its publication.
The Government officialized the measure for 30 days in the south of the country through a resolution published in the official newspaper El Peruano to prevent the shortage of LPG.
