The Portuguese milk war has won a new front. Milk producers have decided to leave a first straw bale next to an Intermarché store in Vila Nova da Telha, Maia, as a form of protest against the sale of foreign milk in the chain stores. The initiative is promoted by APROLEP — Association of Portuguese Milk Producers — which accuses the group of importing French milk at a time when national producers face pressure on prices and production costs.
