Military operation launched in Bitlis countryside

On Sunday, the Turkish army launched a large-scale military operation in the rural areas of the Hizan and Tatvan districts of Bitlis province. According to local sources, the highlands around the village of Şên (Aladana) in Hizan have been cordoned off. Access to the affected areas is currently prohibited.
