Mike Lindell to endorse Lisa Demuth for Minnesota governor, drop primary recount challenge
Lindell said Demuth won 43% of the primary vote and he will sue voting machine companies next week.
On Friday, MyPillow founder Mike Lindell dropped his legal challenge to the Aug GOP primary results and announced his support for Lisa Demuth in the Minnesota gubernatorial race.
Demuth, speaker of the Minnesota House, won the primary with 43% of the vote to Lindell's 32%, prompting Lindell to allege voting irregularities before reversing course.
Lindell recently spoke with President Donald Trump, who had endorsed him in the primary, and urged Trump to switch his endorsement to Demuth, assuring the president she could win.
Despite the endorsement, Lindell plans to file a lawsuit next week against voting machine companies Dominion and Hart, claiming their equipment is defective regardless of brand.
Lindell is urging supporters to "get out and vote" for the full GOP slate as Demuth faces DFL candidate Sen Amy Klobuchar for the seat vacated by Gov Tim Walz.
