The Israeli army continues attacks on the city of Rafah in the south of Gaza and on the refugee camp Jabalia in the north of the Palestinian enclave. On the east side of Rafah, the army claims to have killed the commander of the armed group Islamic Jihad. Several Palestinian fighters are said to have been killed by the army in Jabalia, reports the German press agency dpa.
