MicroVision and LAKE FUSION Technologies Sign Multi-Year Strategic Partnership Agreement for IRIS Lidar Sensors.
LFT will buy MicroVision IRIS sensors through 2028 to add obstacle detection and early warning features to helicopter safety systems.
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, MicroVision and LAKE FUSION Technologies announced a multi-year partnership, with LFT committing to purchase IRIS long-range lidar sensors through 2028 for helicopter integration.
The agreement builds on a June 2026 collaboration, establishing a formal framework for both firms to develop, certify, and supply lidar-based situational awareness solutions for helicopter operations.
LFT will integrate two IRIS sensors into its Awareness Systems , using 1550 nm eye-safe lasers to detect hazards like power lines and thin wires during complex, low-altitude flight maneuvers.
MicroVision Chief Executive Officer Glen DeVos called the deal a "clear demonstration of our strategy moving from technology validation to commercial commitments," marking a significant milestone on the company's path to profitability.
Christian Meyer, Chief Executive Officer of LFT, noted the integration brings "advanced obstacle detection capabilities to helicopter operators" facing complex operational environments, supporting the firm's goal of leading in environmental intelligence.
