Lewis Hamilton Demands 'Serious Talks' at Ferrari After Leclerc Mexican GP Clash
Hamilton said Ferrari cost him victory and called for serious talks after Leclerc received a five-second penalty.
On Sunday, Ferrari teammates Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc clashed at the Mexico City Grand Prix when Leclerc overtook into Turn 4, forcing both drivers wide and allowing Max Verstappen to pass Hamilton into third.
This incident follows a series of tensions between the Ferrari drivers this season, including previous clashes at the Italian Grand Prix and Singapore last month when Hamilton felt Ferrari refused to assist him.
Hamilton demanded 'serious talks' with Ferrari, claiming stewards were 'handing Charles this win' with a five-second penalty. He cited FIA rules requiring drivers to 'give the position back' after leaving Turn 1.
Following a standing restart caused by Valtteri Bottas' crash, Hamilton regained the lead Ferrari position. Verstappen won the race, with Hamilton second and Kimi Antonelli finishing third as the youngest world champion.
Hamilton stated the team has 'big problems' to address behind closed doors, yet praised Ferrari for working hard and improving the car. The dynamics between the drivers will require internal resolution.
