The meeting between the two nations after the restoration of diplomatic relations addressed the reopening of embassies, the reactivation of cooperation mechanisms and the demand for visas for Peruvians.
Peru and Mexico made progress in the normalization of their diplomatic relations following the first bilateral meeting between representatives of both governments since the re-establishment of their ties.
Vice-Chancellor Anderson reiterated the request for Mexico to reconsider the visa waiver for Peruvian citizens visiting our country arguing that the visa requirement has had an impact on the flow of tourists to Mexico.
