Blockchain data shows the Japanese treasury firm moved the bitcoin between wallets it controls, not to an exchange, so the transfer isn't a sale despite its $1.4 billion paper loss.
According to ChainCatcher, on-chain analyst Ai Yi monitored that an address has transferred a total of 2,300 BTC, worth $142 million, to a Wintermute deposit address since June 25th, with an average deposit price of $61,813. The most recent transfer, worth $50,720,000, occurred 6 hours ago. The funds originated from Paxos, and the address's ownership has not yet been confirmed.
