A tradition that began more than 150 years ago will be observed in solemn reflection and gratitude as Summerville gathers to honor the men and women who gave their lives in military service.

Memorial Day ceremonies & parade to take place in Riverhead on May 26

The Riverhead Combined Veterans Committee will hold its annual Memorial Day ceremonies and parade on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. The Memorial Day parade will step off on Osborn Avenue at Pulaski Street at 9 a.m. and proceed south on Osborn Avenue to the World War I monument on the corner of Court and West Main streets, where ceremonies will be held on the lawn.
