Meghalaya crosses 94% literacy rate

Shillong, April 2: Meghalaya has crossed  94% literacy rate. This was announced by Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui after a review meeting of the department on Thursday. Speaking to reporters, Rymbui said if  38,000 more people are declared literate, Meghalaya will achive 95% literacy rate. “With 95%, Meghalaya can achieve full literacy status and for this, various measures will be taken from April 24 by the concerned agencies”, Rymbui said.
