Special Look: Whitney Peak, Elle Fanning Stun At "Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" UK Screening
Whitney Peak and Elle Fanning attended the screening as Lionsgate promoted the film with less than one month left before wide release.
- On Wednesday, Lionsgate hosted an advanced fan screening of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping at HMV Westfield Shopping Centre in London, with cast members debuting character-inspired red-carpet looks ahead of the film's November 20, 2026 release.
- Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film adapts author Suzanne Collins' fifth novel, following 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy through the 50th Annual Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell, which features twice as many tributes in Panem.
- Cast members honored their roles through high-fashion ensembles: actress Elle Fanning wore a music-box-inspired headpiece as Effie Trinket, while actress Mckenna Grace donned a landscape-printed gown representing the arena, and actress Glenn Close appeared in moss-green as Drusilla Sickle.
- Lionsgate permitted attendees to post limited social media reactions, with early feedback highlighting the film's emotional depth; full critic reviews remain embargoed until closer to the November 20 theatrical release.
- This prequel serves as the sixth entry in the dystopian franchise, expanding the mythology of Panem and deepening the larger universe established across the series before the film's wide opening.
