McGowan says ANF’s call for 5pc pay rise would cost $2b

Summary by Ground News
WA's days of record-breaking Budget surpluses are over, Mark McGowan has declared. The Premier said if the Government capitulated and gave the Australian Nursing Federation what it wanted, the hike would flow to all of the State's 150,000 public sector workers. The offer is the greater of $3120 or a 3 per cent increase, as well as a new $1200 annual allowance for nurses levels 1.8 and 2.4 who mentor junior colleagues.
