- A couple who recorded the episode helped police identify the woman after the police Facebook post, and witnesses described the coffee soaking the McDonald’s manager’s back and neck as she screamed, causing minor burns.
- Police requested that the Saginaw County Prosecutor’s Office file a felonious assault charge against the woman, but Michigan Live reported no arrest as her whereabouts remain unknown.
- Justin Rogalski, witness, described the hot coffee with visible steam and burns on the manager’s clothing, while some witnesses said the woman seemed pleasant before the incident, noting `She didn't seem like she was going to do that; she was actually very nice`.
