The Municipal Council of Loja decided this Thursday, June 26, to remove Mayor Franco Quezada Montesinos from office, following an administrative process that began on May 26 when citizen Ramiro Delgado formally filed a request for dismissal with the Municipal Document Management Unit.
After a month of investigation and analysis, the City Council approved the temporary separation of Mayor Quezada Montesinos, after violations of COOTAD were found in the municipal administration.
This Thursday, the Mesa Commission of the Cabildo de Loja unanimously approved the report that supported the dismissal of Mayor Franco Quezada Montesinos. The measure responded to a complaint filed by citizen Ramiro Delgado Vallejo, who accused the mayor of non-compliance with the provisions of the lobby and of arbitrarily amending the budget without authorization.
